He's certainly a very good full back but maybe he looks so good because he has a very solid, defensively minded midfield in front of him at Everton who are difficult to break down. The rags back line are a little less difficult to get at.

He will end up at the Rags but lets get a £20m bid in just to up the price! Fuck the 'Baines snubs Citeh' headlines. We're used to them now anyway but it would be great to cost them another £10m and reduce their transfer kitty in the process

Dont know if its alraedy been mentioned but didnt Spurs ( i think) put in a similar bid for him and Moyes called it "derisory"? So what does he go and do...

Wishful thinking but it will be good to see if Baines signs a new contract at Everton.

I would like to see Baines at City but I doubt Pellegrini would feel the same, my instincts tell me that Pellegrini will get it right this season and prove to be even better and more successful that Mancini, who I loved to bits and didnt want to leave.. Cant wait for the first game!!

Can't see him leaving Everton personally, unless Martinez is going to make drastic changes. He's well suited to their system and by all accounts isn't one to be drawn to the bright lights and big stage. Rumoured to have turned down a move to Bayern in the past.

i'm waiting to see how easily moyes takes no for an answer now hes got cash to go after one of evertons players. i can imagine the 'disgusting' approach we took to get lescott is suddenly looking a little more acceptable
