Why do people think Baines isn't Champions League material? He can actually defend and get forward very well. In addition, he passes way better than Kolarov and has a biting cross. Also has great stamina, technique, and is a hard worker.

i think baines would be a great addition and probably the most realistic choice for left back we could get.

The only better leftbacks I say last season were Marcelo and Abidal. Everyone else was better at something but not overall. It's no wonder when you think about it. They would rape us with the price and then spend all summer fucking moaning about us and telling the world how evil and nasty we are.
This would give them more motivation for when we played them and they already treat the games against us as cup finals.
Bluemoon would also be overrun by countless blue dippers telling us how great they are and how shit we are.
Unless Baines was literally the best left back in the world it just wouldn't be worth the fucking hassle.
Let another club bale them out of the financial shit storm they are in because we did it last time and we still get the occasional fall out from it now.

Baines, Enrique and Cole are the best left backs in the Premiership. I'd love to see either Baines or Enrique at City, though it might take Baines some time to adapt if we could sign him, and presumably he'd be written off by the same crowd that wrote off Richards, Ireland, Kolarov, Lescott etc. It took him a while to produce his best form at Everton after leaving Wigan. Gael Clichy is not bad either. And neither is Cissokho. Seems to be quite a few possibilities.

Cissokho will cost under 20m...probably 10m-15m. Baines is 20m+.

Baines is 10x better so only costing 2x more is a bargain.
