I haven't seen many left backs anywhere who are actually good at defending. Most are fairly average or in Kolarov's case last season, utterly fucking useless.

Baines is average at defending but very very effective going forward/taking set pieces etc. For that reason, he's a big improvement on what we've had in the last few decades.

dont rate baines at all and would rather stick with AK than give that wanker moyes any more business.

baines always looks well out of his depth playing for england and hasnt been tested in either european competition or big games.

I would be pretty pleased with either of them.

We already have a left-back who is soon hitting his peak in Kolarov. :D

Baines: A dwarf who can't head a ball or defend in set-pieces. A winger will easily beat him in the air if a cross comes to the far post. He has no height nor the strenght of Cole/Evra.

Baines: 26 year old and plenty of Premiership experience. Had a good last season with international call ups.

Cissokho: 23 year old and few years of top flight French football. Had a bad last season. Low in the pecking order for Left back slot internationally.

Why don't we forget about overpriced players such as Cissokho and Baines and go for Andre Santos instead. He is 28, but he really looks the business.

Baines: By far the best left back in the league last season. Easily worth the 20m+ Everton would want for him.

Cissokho: Had a terrible season, the Lyon fans want him gone.


Baines can also score goals and gets a lot of assists where as Cissokho dosnt.

Oh and not seen much of Dennis Aogo recently, but he looked very good everytime ive seen him. Cheaper too.

Dennis Aogo will be a great choice. But I am not sure he'd be cheaper.
