Will both Bonucci and Pogba leave. A lot of Italian papers are saying that Pogba has made his decision and he wants to leave for United. I hope we get Bonucci though.

Hi mate...would love to sign Bonucci but if the Pogba rumours are true I cant see Juve selling Bonucci as well....They'd have 100mil in their back pocket and would also want to show their fans they not a "selling club"...Selling one star you could get away with, selling 2 of their stars?... I just couldnt see happening.....hope I'm wrong!

Thanks. Me too I hope Bonucci really happens. Hopefully Bonucci tells Juventus he wants out. That's the only way.

Bonucci comes into England and is probably the best centre back in the country.

Bonucci/Kompany/Stones would be an unbelievable back three. Strong, experienced, great on the ball, aggressive, tall, quick - with the best manager in the world coaching them.

Would love this signing. Kompany, Bonucci, Stones, Otamendi and one of Mangala and Denayer? Would easily be the best set of centre backs in the league if not Europe

So Di Marzio days Juve have declared him as non transferable, that's fair enough but even from their perspective, an offer of £51m is v hard to turn down for a 29 year old defender.

We might not have offered it though, for the same reason.

Or they could be demanding he asks for the move, as the Germans have done with DeBruyne & Sané.

We should just hijack Chelsea's move for Koulibaly, he's what Mangala would be if he could actually defend and pass a ball.

I expect signing Bonucci, if there is any truth in it, would be for his experience as much as for his ability, due to VK being so unreliable. Wonder if we'll bother with another this window if he's not available & Stones arrives as planned.

So far we've got Gazetta, and a bunch of local publications, saying he was offered by Juve originally and now it looks like a done deal, and Di Marzio who says all of that is tosh and Juve won't sell him.

Not sure who I believe more, but it always was a longshot, this one.

It's the latter, that's Juve's policy. They don't sell players unless they ask to go, to absolve themselves from blame in the eyes of their rabid fanbase. All the moreso with a fan favorite like Bonucci.

If they declared him as untransferrable then why would they approach City in the first place as other outlets have suggested and why would they bring in Benatia?

I think we will offer (if we haven't already) the money Juve want.
Two birds one stone.
It gives Juve big money and will most likely stop the rags from getting Pogba.

Can't see this at all. Huge fee for a 29 yr old with little resale value. Possibly his agent using us as leverage for a better deal after a decent Euros. Whilst for us it could be being used to say to Everton "take the money for Stones before we buy an alternative"

I never know why people bother with resale value. If they work out well then you don't wish to sell them anyway. A la Silva/Toure/Aguero

I feel for Mangala a little. Young lad who came for a big fee and had a few bad/nervous games and next thing he is written off by the media which seems to snowball to the fans.

He has played some good games but they get overlooked, even ignored. A bit like how Sterling has been treated.

Can Pep not do anything with him, £32m (at least) seems a lot to just give up on. With the negativity we are only getting half that back at best.

I still think he's better than Otamendi.

Still think this was a ploy by his agent to get a wage rise at Juve.

Only time will tell I suppose.

Doesn't make sense, he signed an extension only last season that doubled his wages. It's unthinkable Juve would extend him again so soon, particularly given he was one of many of their stars who extended, all of whom would then expect similar pay increases.

My gut tells me that Juve are working from a business point of view. Selling a young Pogba makes no sense, but Bonucci will never have higher value at 29. But they don't want the aggro from the fans so they are waiting to see if he'll ask to leave. If he does, they'll let him, if not then it's doubtful he'll get more money.
