In a pair of years, we'll call this fee a bargain, guy is absolute class.
Are people really moaning about the size of the fee? I would think in the current market 37m represents excellent business from our point of view for a player with his potential and reputation across Europe.
Saw some lose touches there that carried on into hisgame last season. Has to get better with that. Especially now that he is likely to start seeing more park the bus defenses.
They said it was 40m,city have made it clear via martin b at the sun that it's 37m and add on that might not be triggeredI don't know why everyone is so quick to believe the £37 mil figure.. It's quoted by Schalke.. Bound to be inflated.. Including bonuses, agent fees etc.. Selling clubs do that to show that they got the better deal
In the current market, probably.
Ha, that's the problem though.
Great signing mind, looking forward to seeing him play and for Pep to get his hands on him.
Exactly, as discussed earlier in the thread Benteke was £32m, a year ago, without the hike in TV money !Are people really moaning about the size of the fee? KDB, Sane: City 2 Bayern 0
Jesus, Nolito: City 2 Barca 0
xD, it's just fun and games.
I'd rather we just never made the 'take it or leave it' offer to Liverpool last summer if we didn't have the bottle to actually walk away when they rejected it.
It's precedents like that which come back to haunt you. Exactly what we're going through with Stones now as well apparently.
You've got to show you're prepared to walk away when selling clubs take the piss otherwise you'll get the piss taken out of you every time you buy.
