Leroy Sané

Ridiculously over the top from some. Came here and was a central part in our recent success. Scoring the goal v Liverpool, our second at Old Trafford. He's made his bed, but I still wish him the best. It's sad how people have completely dismissed what he did for us.
People have put him in the James Milner category for stringing us along.

Id argue that after refusing to sign several contracts he wasn’t stringing us along and we should’ve sold him rather than playing him in a meaningless friendly.

I don’t think he’s disrespected our club at all. He did the job we paid him to do for us and decided that he wanted to move his family back home to Germany. I don’t think any of us could begrudge him of that.

James fucking Milner on the other hand...

I would agree. We have been fortunate not to lose many of our best players over recent years.

I think that is why it hurts when one wants to leave. We aren't used to it. Vinny, Sergio, Silva... all stuck around when at other English clubs they may have been drawn abroad again.

Sané has never bad mouthed the club or fans and you can't blame him for wanting to go to Bayern. Not many turn them down, especially those of German nationality.

He is hugely talented. There aren't many players who can run so quickly with the ball and beat players so easily. His finishing was pretty good too. But he had as many bad games as good for us too. It's just when he was good he was sensational.

Plus his hair was so cool (not the braids).

There is no sense in delivering this in the public arena if the intention is to get rid: you will simply bring down his value. More likely, they are calling him out to improve his attitude but it never strikes me as good practice unless it has already been dealt with internally, on several occasions, with no success.

Regardless, he has gone.

He made his bed, he’s gonna have to lie in it. Yes he was a decent player for us, but now he’s gone (sneakily) off to the German rags. He has immense potential, but as it has been said before, 3 managers have seen something that they don’t quite like about his behaviour. Is the arrogance of youth? Probably, but in today’s game, he cannot afford to be that way, as they’ll drop him like a shitty stick.
Fuck all sneaky about it. The whole world new a year before it happened.

Balotelli is/was abundantly talented. So often he made the hard and difficult look ridiculously simple - that is true talent right there.
Unfortunately his mentality, work ethic, and professionalism seems to be far worse than that of Leroy.
Did he? Or was he just talented enough to become a professional footballer so could therefore do some decent stuff every now and then?

Every footballer can make difficult things look simple at times.

Leroy went from a very good team to a great team. How he, his agent, and his family ever thought he would be a regular player and starter at Bayern is beyond me. If he's not careful he'll end up like Mario.

Because he believes, already, that he is the finished article and he is not. It is really important that young players have the humility to realise that the very best 18 year old is often not the best player at 28: talent is only one part of a complex equation of development.

Marino’s pass to Sergio is etched in my memory, for that one thing alone he is a legend.
He was brilliant in the FA Cup semi and the final in 2011 and his "Why always me goal" at the swamp (the first of the six) will always be one of my favourite moments. I was lucky to be there. After decades of hurt I never thought I would witness one of our players taking the piss like that at Old Trafford. Mario more than did his bit for City and is part of our history.
