Would you have Sane back?

Why would we even think about bringing someone back who didn’t want to stay with us and who is a problem to coach as city Bayern and Germany have all had problems with sane . He was good when he was here but should have been world class but for bouts of chucking the dummy out . A big step back for us if we go for him .

fascinating how all the "influencers" (C.Xtra,Steven/EK, Tolmie etc) are pushing for a return...if they watched more than 2 games in the last 3 years from Munich or the national team then they would come to a different conclusion...it can only be for some illogical reasons

he still has an average first touch / passing game, lost speed after ACL/ageing, finishing in front of the goal is on "sterling level", still sulking when the game doesn´t go in his way & is on ridiculous wages (more than £17 m/year)...Coman & even Gnabry outperformed him/ more valuable for the team over this time period...in 6 month he will be 28 years

unironically we would do Munich a (big) favour

You have to think the only thing not bringing him back is worried about his attitude.

He is much better than all of the other alternatives mentioned

He is not the same player who left for Bayern.
You could argue if he’s different that’s not a bad thing.

He was far too inconsistent before. Maturity may have helped this. He used to have his moments and when on he was incredible, but far to up and down.

As much as I’d want to see that again I’d also love to see a reliable Sane which maybe isn’t as effective in those moments but better over a season. He was great against us recently and we destroyed them.

We would be wasting our money in bringing him back. As I said a few pages back we needed SWP more than we do with Sane. He does deserve another chance to kick start his career but not at City.

I did see your post but I think they are different players, different time/needs and the club is in a different place. We could easily sign anyone but I think signing Sané would be the best fit.

If we have been taken by surprise we need someone that can slot in. He can play either side which helps with both the rotation of Grealish/Foden. He’s got a lot of experience and clearly a good player.

I’d be amazed if someone would prefer Olmo or Raphinha to Sané. He’s a better player than both of them, you don’t play week in week out for Bayern if not. I also think if he doesn’t come back and set the world on fire he does a solid job like Mahrez has this year.

I really don’t see a better transfer out there. We have Foden and Grealish already. Potentially Alvarez out wide and plenty of youth players coming through with bags of potential (McAtee, Bobb, Palmer, Borges etc.)

SWP coming back was at that time we were growing, well trying to. We needed any connection to get players in. We could slap down incredible fees for the worlds best players now and they’d most likely say yes.
