Leroy Sané

Sane is amazing when he has room to run, especially after the ball. Pep's game is tiki-taka.
Just a bad match, so why force it?

Kev does his defensive work, Leroy was lazy and often threw his arms in the air or hands on hips when the ball didn't arrive, maybe you were looking at your phone or something but he did it a lot. Listen, he was superb running in behind but he was lazy and you got the distinct impression pep had enough, on his day as good as it gets but his days became more infrequent, he has continued the same attitude at Bayern which is why they are frustrated...a very firm no from me

Lazy? He was double teamed for half a season. He’s entitled to be frustrated when he was busting his arse to get open only for balls not to find him.

People acting like he was woeful, it’s absolutely amazing he won YPOTY and we were so successful carrying him.

There's no doubt in my mind Sane is top quality & i was gutted when he went. But he wanted to go. His Mum wanted him at Bayern because they are Germanys biggest club & he was to get more money signing for them. But he hasn't seen the bigger picture or looked far enough ahead and thats on him. No way would i take him back because he left and that is the choice he made. City have moved on and he had his chance. Its a no from me.

Aguero was far from the best striker in the PL era. Lazy, and unwilling, got lucky with the team he played and the amount of chances we created
Obviously, that distinction goes to the one and only Giorgios Samaras

Those saying Leroy was lazy are chatting absolute bollocks with all due respect, some fans on here once a player leaves and doesn't do as well elsewhere can't wait to get their knives out on here imagining major weaknesses or poor form throughout their stay that never happened.

I loved Leroy too but I wouldn't take him back either that ship set sail long ago, just my opinion but I think he's made his bed and he's approaching 27 no better now with less confidence than when he was aged 22 plus stylistically we've also moved on from back then, the system is totally different from his time here with different roles asked of a winger and in my view we have a better squad we profile our signings to fit in with that plan.

There's no room at the inn, there's no way he's coming back with Foden Grealish Mahrez Palmer Alvarez Bernardo and others capable of playing out wide, we've gone down the more creative playmaker route out wide rather than outright pacey dribblers as a means to keep possession for better retention I believe, and our central areas are more industrious too to better join attacks or quicker pressing if we lose possession it's totally different than Sane's time here, with Haaland's arrival it'll be more important than ever to keep the ball and although Leroy is no doubt one of the most exciting wingers around at running towards defences taking them on, he also definitely loses possession more than anyone we currently have in those areas now and I don't think he fits anymore in Pep's mind just like Raheem didn't, he's a ruthless manager Pep and makes the difficult choices that need to be made and there's not much room for sentiment if a player has stagnated or is struggling too much to adapt with new tactics that's why he's the best.

Take off the blue tinted glasses, Leroy was a fantastic forward bit a lazy bastard defensively, if you can't see that you are deluded or just understand football, probably both.

I don't remember him as lazy physically, think he often got back defensively. I think he was lazy mentally and lost concentration quite easily, leading to turn overs in posession and counter attacks. That's what I always thought Pep lost patience with him and got frustrated at.

I can see why you would use the word lazy, but it isnt accurate.

Id say he was just a lot less committed to his defensive duties.
