Would you have Sane back?

Keep having to repeat but here I go again

Leroy was a lazy barsteward, great feet & ballance but when it really mattered without the ball he simply jibbed out

This Pep team needs energy in both half's of the pitch, we can't afford luxury items that gives you halfof whats required

Sane will not be back playing in a City shirt

Never seen him whatsoever last night
What's Gary got to do with this?

To this day, I'm baffled by him being left out of the Germany squad. Makes sense that it was a power play - 'come back to Germany playing for Bayern and we'll get you back in'.

Pricks.

German national arrogance is ridiculous.

I’ve first hand experience, as I was heavily involved in American football. I once spoke to the head of the German American football league and they were frothing at the mouth that a lad left their league to play for the New England Patriots.

I pissed myself laughing that they genuinely saw this as a slap in the face when the reality was the two leagues are 100 levels apart, but they couldn’t wrap their head around why he’d leave Germany.

I saw what happened with Leroy and saw the exact same thing playing out.

This is ultimately his issue.

He’s frustrated and needs an arm around his shoulder.

Bayern bought him and tried convert him to wingback ffs. Even now look at him in their system, everything is built for the wing to cut inside and feed Lewandowski who has now departed. It’s horrible football even if effective and wingers look dreadful in it.

If he went to Liverpool we’d be horrified I reckon. Klopp is the type of manager he needs and their system is made for him.

He’ll leave Bayern and I can only hope he ends up somewhere other than those shitbags.
Not a chance he would make it at liverpool. He is nothing like what they want. They expect 100 miles an hour for 90 minutes. He would not be prepared to put the work in.

Sané is one of the most talented players we’ve ever had. He is quick, an incredible dribbler, brilliant finisher and has the size and physique the play anywhere across the front line. However I’m not sure he’s got the smarts to really deliver on his talent. Hey add some poor choices on and off the field which ultimately will se him having a good career but not quite the one he could have had.

Towards the end of the 18/19 season he lost his spot and started looking at Bayern. He lost his spot mainly because he wouldn’t do enough work out of possession, hugely important for Guardiola, and was a little reckless in possession. If he stayed and listened to Pep he could potentially have been one of the all time greats. Instead he went to Bayern for money and easy success.

He hasn’t developed there and instead looks a little lost. It’s a real shame as he’ll never hit the heights he could have under Pep.

Sounds as you just paint the picture you want to see, re Germany in general?
WTF has that unnamed and unknown Am. football bloke to do with DFB? That's apples and oranges, and you know that.

I also thought it was a mistake not to add Leroy to the 2018 WC squad as I never have rated Julian Brandt for his soft attitude.
But Leroy hadn't changed anything there, the 'title defender' couldn't cope with the pressure and had too many problems in many areas. And yes, one of them was German arrogance, absolutely.

But it's no secret that the old guard in the squad, lead by Kroos, Muller or Hummels, were being pissed off by Leroy's attitude and had enough influence on Low to not be wanted in the locker room.

Ask Gundo for more details, he was right there! But as the gentleman he is, he would only smile and be silent.

I'd say Leroy is still immature, feels weak and insecure about himself, consequently doesn't accept criticism and that's a general problem on top level. That's Leroy in a nutshell. Pep couldn't handle that, Nagelsmann is helpless, as is Hansi Flick. All of them have given up any attempts to help him for missing outcome and simply passing over the responsibility to himself to deliver - or not. It's his final chance before leaving top level and hopefully finding the right level without too much pressure where he can play footy and be a happy man. Rich he is anyway.

Probably Leroy will miss another World Cup. Maybe he's lucky as the squads are extended to 26 players. I doubt that.

Liverpool press completely different to us.

Their entire game plan is use the 3 midfield dogs to hound and then rely on the fullbacks to play cross field balls in behind the opposition full backs for Salah and Mane to chase down from on side positions. If Sane can still run at speed(and Bayern’s system doesn’t allow/require him to) he’d flourish in it.
