Leroy Sane - 2016/2017 performances

Hmmm, I'm going to have to disagree with your analysis there. I actually preferred the cross run.

Sane's run was the right run for a through pass. I think Aguero hesitated, and then DeBryune ran a cross route to continue the confusion.

Sane Didn't run across DeBryune he ran into the through ball space, and DeBryune correctly curled to the outside once Aguero failed to deliver. Aguero was the only minor error for failing to deliver the through pass

You think Aguero should pass it where Sane is pointing? If he does that I feel he sends Sane out wide and Walker can mark KDB so if Sane isn't clear of Alderweireld it becomes a 2 vs 2 from a 3 vs 2 situation. Also, there isn't a lot of space for Aguero to pass it past Alderweireld without the risk of Alderweireld intercepting it or the leagues best sweeper keeper Lloris coming to intercept it.

But if Sane had peeled off to the back post, KDB could have run through the centre, Walker could not have marked them both while Alderweireld would have been forced to stick with Aguero. One of Sane or KDB would have been free for Aguero to cross to. Is that not the case?

Leroy is going to be a real star at City. Just hope Pep gives him a run of games now because he will have a real impact for City this season.

What an offensive line Sane, Jesus and Sterling

I'm usually Paulie Pedantic...

But this is a bizare debate, even for me.

You both realise you are dissecting 5 seconds of a football match like it was the Kennedy assassination, right?

By the way, I think the Babushka Lady was the one that broke down the attacking move.

looks like he is settling now and showing some real quality! hopefully pep gives him a run of games now and he can keep getting better and better!

We should have been getting him on the ball as often as possible.

He's great to have a father figure role model back in Touré.

I would love to see him getting a run of games under his belt. He has shown some flashes of talent. I think if he is fit and Kompany is back to any sort of fitness a change back to the 3 man defence with Sterling and Sane as the wing backs might be worth a look at in the remainer of the season.

Just like a few teams want to get Bravo on the ball...

I didn't think the first mistake was that much of a howler. Pat Nevin has already explained that those types of mistakes are expected given Lloris' style, and Spurs have a far better defence than any team other than Chelsea. Second mistake was a bit of a howler but Lloris is top 2 in the league along with De Gea for me.

I realise that is the case. Still, given the conspiracy theories posted here about the media vendetta against Man City, I think it is in keeping with the general mood to treat a missed chance like JFK's assassination!

Fair point... carry on.
