[Scaring Europe to Death]

Seen him play 3 or 4 times for Schalke, and he's always been in today's first half position, coming in from the right, onto his left foot. In fact, i'm pretty sure he scored a cracking goal against Real Madrid, two seasons ago.

Definitely a work in progress, but it's a brave step for a young German to come to England, and adapt, not only to Pep's tactical intensity, but also the day to day complications of English teenage culture (and for all his promise, it will be exactly the same for Gabriel Jesus)

Today was a huge improvement on his performance at the swamp, and he'll undoubtedly continue to improve.

Was surprised at how strong he is. Had no trouble bargingbthe fullback off the ball and holding him off. His feet are quick too. Shame he was marginalized when pushed to the left.

Thought he looked very good today, particularly in the first half. Stronger on the ball than I thought too. Still early days of course, but get the feeling he'll be a big player for us as the season progresses.
