Lets remember he's new to the club, the league and the country in general... lets not do the whole Sterling thing all over again, when the Germans are saying he is the future of the national team it's likely that this lad has a bright future indeed. I will add G. Jesus to that because it's going to take time for him to adapt as well but I think they both will and they'll excel when they do.
 
Absolutely hopeless tonight & one of the main reasons we struggled. Our academy kids were a class above all night.

He is miles better than what we saw, but it seemed like his arse went, which is unusual, as he has a fair bit of experience.

He'll be fine in the long run, but might need time, like Sterling. i predict Gabriel Jesus will be a level above, this season.
 
Hope it will come good but so far big disappointment, he is offering nothing and looks scared to shit whenever he is on the pitch. And I don't like his lack of commitment since the first game he played, you'd expect more fight from 19-years old boy trying to secure his place in the big team.

That is all probably true and provides justification for a poor performance but not the lack of desire. Nolito worked his socks off, I think it should be a minimum he does the same.

Still he has time and I am sure he will live up to expectations
 
The academy kids played much better than him.

Besides his terrible touch, passing and decision making tonight his attitude was all wrong.

Hope he makes up for it in the next.

Doesn't make tonight's performance any better.

He was shite. Treat him as a 'young player-new club-new league- new manager - new country - injury and no pre season' player, no problem.

If he wants to start important games in the near future though, he'll have to improve fairly quickly, and work a lot harder.
