Leroy Sane - 2018/2019 performances

At the end of the season, we could be looking back on that Sane goal and say that was the turning point.

Overall probably not his best performance (though, I still think it was good) but the difference between even last year and now is that he keeps going. He doesn’t sulk, he doesn’t complain, he just keeps driving. There were a couple of times where Laporte or Danilo hit bad passes to him, forcing him to chase for a lost cause, and he made the run and then turned back and gave them the thumbs up. He wasn’t doing that even last year.

He is maturing, and the way he took the game winner is a perfect example of it.

He has Best Player in the World in him.

Couldn't pass wind nor beat his meat in the first half but a match winner, more than fair play to him.

I'd say what he did well, Sterling didn't and what Sterling did well, he didn't. Get them both firing now after this result then we're laughing down the stretch.

Actually appears to love playing against the scousers, one of the very few in the side who doesn’t fall to pieces against them.

Very good goal and always a threat.

He really has to concentrate more when defending though. The passage of play leading to their goal came from a cross that Sane didnt work hard enough to close down and
Stop it. He got caught later in the game ball watching too in a dangerous position.

He has the mentality of a Ronaldo type player whereby he finishes much better than goal scoring forwards when one on one.

So glad for him to get the winner. Even in those defeats against Leicester and Crystal Palace, he worked so hard.
