In the mean time possibly an offer for Upson or just stick with what we have got, Toure and Ned at centre back with Kompany providing competition when he returns to full fitness.

I don't think he's fibbing. They're trying to get Lescott's replacement imo.

Everton forum is very interesting. They believe he told Moyes he didn't want to play before the game. Moyes seems to confirm that by saying "I told him to be professional and that we have noone else to play there". Apparently 5Live and SSN reported this.

He's coming, no doubt at all in my mind now.

Yeah, has been big rumours about Lescott not been in the 'correct frame of mind' to play, if this is true then surely it indicates that the transfer has a very good chance of going through and Lescott may try a bit harder to push through the move.
