You can't put a value on the price of a top class defence...30, 40, 100 million. A poor defence will cost you more than 30 million it may cost you your job and a champion league place.

Who gives a fuck about England.... most players look average for England.

As a partnership, only Vidic and Rio were better than Lescott and Jags, and you know it. ONe season or not, Jags was a fucking monster last season, even made Lescott look like the weaker of the 2. We finished 5th, something your looking at, maybe higher, but top 6 is your realistic aim.

Lescott to me is a £12-15M player in all honesty. And the first bid was one that was fair.

However it's never going to be accepted by Everton because they:

1) dont want to sell
2) dont need to sell
3) have Jagielka out for a long time
4) have Yobo off to Africa in January

So you can definitely understand the premium we would need to pay. And it's not even a City tax in this case
