Re: official move for Lescott today...

Apparently he lives in South Manchester (well given the choice who actually wants to live on Merseyside)

Back in January there was a strong rumour he had been sounded out on a move to city and was up for it.

This one has never really gone away, have a feeling we will have to pay through the teeth but unlike RSC and Bellamy he is actually worth getting ripped off on. If Glen Johnson is worth £17.5 million Lescott is worth £18 million.

Hope we get him better than any of the centre half’s we have at the club at the moment. He has 14 goals in 112 games for Everton. We have had forward players with a worse ratio than that !

all you PMing wanking knobheads get a f*cking life you morons! You sound like a bunch of speed bitches!!

Anyway please PM me, is Crouchey coming te heee!

so, I said, it doesnt sound like a good idea to PM random people if you arent able to post the information up here because it might get someone in trouble. 30 seconds later, he sent it to me.

to summarise, someone, who probably should know his stuff, allegedly said something that would, IF he said it, AND it was true, confirm what a lot of people have been saying on here, and is now the papers...

The Goodison Park club have repeatedly insisted that none of their main assets are for sale this summer but Lescott, who could double his current £40,000-a-week wage at City, may insist on a transfer.

you won't really learn anything more from any PM

Re: official move for Lescott today...

So he is coming then?

"Insist"...is this a legal euphonium for an escape clause, or something else?

Re: official move for Lescott today...

Im really pleased firstly that Lesott wants to join because he is a top class player and IMHO would make Dippers and Arsenals sides. Not ahead of Vidic or Wio but at 26 has plenty of years left. Hes actually very good on the ball and has terrorised some sides as a link up down the left, because of his size. His aquisition means we have more gover on the left so Bridgey can link up further advanced in the field and not get so exposed at the other end, when the opposition counter attacks. A defensive unit of Lescott, Kombany, Ned, Richards, Zab and Bridge now doesnt lank so much size and variation as we did last year. Looks fantastic and rather than another CB id be enclined to sign cover for Bridge, however we did sign that German lad a few months ago, the under 21's bloke who apparently has heaps of potential. He may well be eased into the side over the next 24 covering for Bridge in cup games etc.

Re: official move for Lescott today...

another positive that would come with signing lescott is, for a defender he seems to pop up on the score-sheet quite often. We should be getting a better quality from set pieces with Barry in the team, so we could see a few more goals coming from them with lescott and RSC in the team :)
