I know what you mean mate but if Bridge gets injured we're fckuked at left back so Lescott also gives you that cover as well as being a class center half.

Spot on. But then we can find a better replacement as a left back if we really need one.

I am happy with Garrido TBH (as a back up). If Bridge doesn't get injuried then it's a different story. At the end of the day if we still manage to get Lescott then he would solve this problem.

My Carrington source tells me that the bid for Lescott was accepted today at 7pm, Lescott will agree terms tomorrow. SSN are way behind the times they're hopeless in all honesty.

don't go above 20mil for lescott, and that 20mil includes the extra city fee (usually 5mil+ extra more than a player is worth). hes good but not great lets be honest. i know kompany is injured for a while but i think he's better than lescott. plus we all know how good nedum is.

Seems odd that many people stated this deal was done weeks ago and yet it appears we are still haggling while approaching 20m.Either this is an excellent PR exercise by both clubs to appease the fans or as it would appear a deal hasn't yet been struck.

Personally i don't think he is worth 15m let alone 20m.

I could have told Hughes and Cooke that 19m will be turned down. As will anything less than 25m. (which already is way overboard) Cmon, sign some unproven European player who should be good. We can always play Onuoha/Kompany and Toure.
