Doesn't money change people eh?

Not so long ago you were in the 2nd division scraping a side together.

Now you arrogant fucking inbreads think you can just wave your money around and everyone will come running.

Read your posts back you arrogant fucks!

Just think, there may be a chance that Lesctt doesn't want to sign for you and is quite happy where he is.

City are a fucking discrace at the moment and it looks like the fans are catching up

you are quickly becoming the most hated side in the country and next season will be a damn site harder than you fuckwits think

Lol , don't hold back Bill .

Anyone expect City to make another bid , or do you think they've gotten the message ?

Possibly, but to be honest we are unsure of what the next step will be.

For the deal to happen it will need a transfer request from the player himself.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1129168_frustrated_city_switch_transfer_focus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... sfer_focus</a>

Reading between the lines the MUEN's backpage was aimed at nudging the player into this, doesn't he live over here, Bowdon or something like that, if he doesn't request the transfer then we move on, Everton are skint they also inserted a sell-on of 10% to Wolves so that's why i think £25M will be the figure.

£20M CITY BID LANDS LESCOTT
Joleon Lescott 1st August 2009 By David Woods
MANCHESTER CITY are close to completing a move for Joleon Lescott after Everton made a shock bid for Arsenal flop Philippe Senderos.

Moneybags City’s persistence over Lescott looks set to pay off with a fee of £20m enough for the Toffees to part with the England defender.
The Merseysiders had previously rejected offers of £18m and £19m.
Everton boss David Moyes was adamant centre-back Lescott would not leave, but it seems the availability of Senderos has paved the way for a deal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will let the Switzerland international, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan, leave north London.
Arsenal inserted a buy-out clause of £6m for Senderos when they loaned him to the Italian giants but it could be the Emirates side push for more with Everton.
If Senderos does go for £6m, it would mean Wenger, after selling Emmanuel Adebayor (£25m) and Kolo Toure (£14m), will have raised close to £45m.
Wenger has spent just £10m on Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen, who arrived from Ajax.
In contrast, City boss Mark Hughes will take the club’s total spending this summer to over £112m with the purchase of Lescott.
But Wenger is likely to step up his pursuit of Bordeaux’s Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh.
It is understood the Gunners have offered £5m for the 25-year-old - but the French side will demand more.
Meanwhile, it seems Wenger’s initial reaction to the prospect Patrick Vieira’s return has not been positive.
Wenger has said in the past he is not a fan of re-signing players. but it is believed Vieira, 33, wants a Gunners return.
But despite being concerned about a lack of height in his team, it appears Wenger is not keen on taking his former skipper from Inter Milan

Why don't we just get Senderos and spend the rest on someone else.

When are Everton back from states, surely things will progress once they are back

I believe its just all PR by Moyes to make it look like he tried his best to keep Lescott

Thats always been the case. He needs to make the decision personally - if he comes to us, he will become Englands first choice partner for JT. If he stays, Everton will slip down the league this year (no early season Jag, Arteta and waffer thin squad) and he is under threat for his world cup place from Upson, Jag etc. Simple choice, stay wih your chums and mediocrity, or come here and take off.

We should of course not go for Senderos. Why do you say such a thing? And what do you mean by "the rest"? There is plenty of cash available for the boss to spend, and if he feels like we need another right back, another centre half in addition to Lescott and a great squad player for the central midfield, then the cash is available to spend. I really hope that Hughes understands that we still need some more additions to our squad if we can land Lescott. 20m is not outrageous, it is not 35m or some similar crazy figure.
