When are you lot gonna get the message? You've been told he's not for sale. Lescott has requested a move and has been told by Moyes that it won't be happening.

We all know that City fans are habouring delusions about thier supposed future success. But now you're even deluding yourselves about a player that clearly won't be signing for you.

Get real

Of course, when a manager saying a player is not for sale that has always turned out to be the case hasn't it.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2004/feb/18/newsstory.sport5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2004 ... ory.sport5</a>

Everton's manager David Moyes insisted yesterday that Wayne Rooney was not for sale.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both believed to be considering a summer move for the 18-year-old striker. But Moyes told the club's website: "I have always stated that he is not for sale. And unless the board are saying something that I do not know, they are in total agreement with that as well.

"Everton do not have to sell people. That has always been my view and that will not alter. Unless I am told differently by the board of directors there will be no players leaving that I want to keep at the club."

Personally I'll be pleased if we do walk away, I suspect Moyes and Kenwright are rubbing their hands together working out how to spend the windfall they are expecting to fleece from us. But I think we can do better for the money we're likely to have to pay.

I think it's very clear that you have an unhappy player on your hands and golem is going to have to yield.

Just read the last 8 pages , and conclude that the same clueless comments have simply resurfaced .

When Everton state themselves that Lescott has handed in a transfer request , we will know for sure , and untill then , it's the usual speculation . Even if he has , it will only become a factor in a much larger equation .

Moyes will do what he feels is best for the club , and if he decides it's not in our interest to sell Lescott , then he won't . If he decides we can get a good deal , and use the funds to take the club forward , then he will . Lescotts thoughts are important , but not decisive .

ITK's make me laugh . There is only one ITK at this stage , and that is Moyes , and anyone who says they know for sure what is happening is guessing just like everyone else .

Let's speculate :

Why will 'Moyes' sell ?
We all know the only reason is if it benefits Everton , and not necessarily City .

We have needs as a football club in order to move forward .

If the funds from Lescott appease those needs , then yes there is a good chance he will go . The most likely event is Moyes will attempt to secure his targets , possibly even on the back of City money , and if he is successful , and 100% certain that the deals that he wants are agreed , and he is happy , then you will get yourself a good defender .

This is possibly why it has gone quiet on the Lescott front between clubs regarding the press .

There may be a gentlemans agreement between the 2 clubs that Lescott will only go if our targets are achieved , and a fee may already have been agreed that allows a little movement for Moyes needs in order for him to complete his deals . He won't sell first , 'then' try to buy .

Of course , the above is huge speculation .

The other scenario is that Moyes feels he can get by with the funds that he has , and will tell City point blank NO !
He can do this , as he is in charge of the situation . Neither City , nor Lescott can make that decision for him .

All the City v Everton banter going on in the background is amusing , but we'll all have to wait and see what happens , so in the meantime , there's little point getting frustrated and attacking each other .

CosmicScouser, your post smacks of jealousy mate, how are we deluded about the fortunes of our club? Your poxy half empty stadium of a club pay peanuts for an alleged "big club" so why shouldnt Lescott want to further his career at MCFC.

Gollum should fuck off back in his cave, eat some raw fish and realise that Kenwright wants the bangers and mash for a player you pai £6 million quid for.

If it had been Everton who had been bought by ADUG then everything would be ok would it because youve won half a dozen more trophies than us in 130 years of football?

The amount of you rat munching, peg wittling thieving twats that are on our forum at the moment is pathetic-cant you talk on your own forum about "mighty everton" signing Sheffield United defenders or something?

All we are doing as fans is getting excited about the biggest thing in our clubs history,we didnt invite you on our forum so if you dont like it fuck off and rob some cars or something.

cumon darker shade of blue you must know that if we want to sign lescott we 100% will get him, a club like everton cant keep a player who wants to move onto bigger and better things.
