No, you simply don't get it. Just because the played has handed in a T.R. doesn't mean that Everton will accept less money coming their way. It's just a way for Lescott to accept less money coming his way from the transfer.

No, YOU simply don't get it. You honestly think players hand in transfer requests solely to cost themselves money? They do it to indicate their intentions and to force deals through. Lescott's request has made it public knowledge that he wants to leave, it makes Everton's "he's staying put" stance laughable. Players who request transfers GET transfers, not neccessarily straight away, but he'll be gone in the next 12 months, probably sooner. There reaches a point where keeping Lescott and holding out for a ridiculously large fee is counterproductive to Everton's plans for now and the future. Moyes can wait for £30m, but he won't get it, and he'll end up with a disgruntled player who, with the best will in the World, won't be playing at his best.

My guess is that Lescott has waited just under a month and he knows Everton are getting Senderos so he feels like he should be aloud to leave IMO

True enough. Lescott has also done his old club Wolves a turn, as they are on 15 per cent of the fee.

Everton's loyalty bonus towards Lescott is simply factored in elsewhere.

Im not bumming of SM im just posting what he told me last month, he didnt say Terry 100% wanted to come he said he's in two minds but he still wants to talk to us, he said everything was 100% agreed with Eto'o but he wanted money of Barca for leaving which didnt happen so we pulled out because they were taking to long, and wow a week missed on when he said Tevez would sign big fucking deal FF's
