OK - at the fear of being ridiculed.......here's what i heard today from a ITK close to the club...

Lescott deal is done and will be announced as soon as this weeks Internationals are over
All deals will be done within a 3-week period, this is from Bluesy himself
A "big" signing will be announced this week, as its already done (vague i know!)
The transfer budget is 400Million

Apoligies if these have already done the rounds, but i am merely sharing with you all what i was told today....

"Put tin hat on and standing to attention"....................

And when was this secret meeting supposed to have taken place ?

£400 million ? Noone in their right mind is going to spend £400 million on players in one season . Did these guys get rich from being stupid ?

How many new players can Hughes bring in before he has a player revolt ?

I expect City to bring in 5 or 6 players in max this window .... if that . Any more and he will have one huge headache to deal with .

I know £400 million is more like a 5 year transfer budget not one summers worth! I think we're gonna sign 2 defenders a midfielder (Barry got him already) and 2 strikers and that's it! Just 5 and we've already got 1 at £12million so that leaves £388million for 4 players - that's £97million per player! NO CHANCE!

Who said, just because the budget is £400m, that Hughes has to spend that amount. The budget could actually be £400m, nobody knows but i doubt we'll spend it all if it is.

It's like anything in life, if you have a budget of £100 to buy a few things and you can get them all for less then you aren't going to spend the whole £100 for the sake of it.

Exactly BJ - budgets are basically limits to keep to, but not there to be spent........unless an opportunity presents itself and then................... well you know the rest :-)

barry 12 mil
Javi Martinez 12 mil
eto 22 mil
tevez 25 mil
lescott 15 mil
Edin Dzeko 12 mil

total spend 98 mil going off recent speculation

It's because people are still working with Keeganomics in mind; you get a £400M budget, spend £410M demand another £100M, spend that on old crocks/nobodies & quit when they fuck up.
