anymore than 2sheiks said:Yesterday was a great day.The only fly in the ointment for me was, starting a post complimenting Bob and some posters reading it as critisism of him, then throwing out personal abuse.
At best it was backhanded compliments though. To me, it is ridiculous to suggest that Mancini's knowledge of football is any less than the collective knowledge of Bluemoon, let alone that of the individual poster. To infer that he didn't know that we could (and should) attack as Bluemoon was telling him is beyond laughable (as is the nonsense about this being all Kidd's doing, which is nothing more than the last desperate throes of the anti-Mancini posters weak and feeble attempts to discredit him in spite of excellent results under him).
I have posted this before, but it is clear that Mancini came in and immediately realised that the team had a huge problem with shape and organisation when we didn't have the ball. He 100% rightly concentrated on sorted out that most fundamental of errors.
We are not there yet, but we are significantly improved and can now let the attackers off the leash a little.
Mancini knew this from day one. Much of Bluemoon, and all of the previous regime had no idea and would be better suited to managing school playground football.
We will continue to improve and the future is hugely exciting... (unless we bring in Jose when we can expect even more solidity and significantly less attacking intent)
