Are you suggesting that fellow citizens drive through the curry mile on Eid-Ul-Fitr [probably Thursday, 9th September, but often a day earlier in the Middle East] with photos of Sheikh Mansour stuck to their car, with multi-coloured stars on the bonnet?

Seriously, though, you are quite right to suggest that simple respect and appreciation is most honoured.

However, as you know, charity is a pillar of Islam and so that's the way I think we should go. The floods in the Indus valley, making millions of his brothers and sisters homeless, would probably be a good start. Not that he would object to local charities, such as for children [Francis House springs to mind].

The Sheikh Mansour Trust, for example?

LOL..That would have made my day at least!

As for charity it couldn´t be simpler, Sheikh Mansour is a trustee of the Khalifa bin Zayed Charity Foundation but it´s well funded already and very much involved in Pakistan.
But what I had in mind was just a simple show of support in some way, that´s what I think he would really appreciate. That´s why I´m pleased about the banner yesterday.

I think a combination of the two ideas of charity and plaque. To set up another charitable organisation might just split resources. A plaque unvieled by Khaldoun and a cheque for the Sheikh's charitable trust?

on a serious note, the seat he sat in last night should be "withdrawn" and only HRH allowed to sit in it! maybe it should be made a grander seat? but as a mark of respect that seat should always be "available" to his majesty on visiting the home of northwest football.

A man in my local gets this treatment who escaped from dunkirk!

Let us not go overboard with the ideas..;)
If he wanted a special seat he could simply say so..and it would be done.

In a way the whole club is something of a monument so let us keep it simple.

I think Gary Cook should send him this thread so he sees that City supporters are immensely grateful to him and that there is a lively sense of humour among the people whose club he has adopted. (But the idea of a charity is actually a very good one.)

how about we simply all sign a book/ album with a special message in it and present it to him or the mk on his behalf. 47000 signatures how impressive would that be.
