I believe he needs the time to adjust to a new country and a much higher level of play than he was used to .
He is clearly not ready yet to be a first team regular and but for circumstances probably wouldn`t have played last night.
He looks like he is trying too hard to impress (but wouldn`t we all at his age)
Lets give him time,not get on his back and trust Mancini.
I remember Paul Power,the Goat,Kevin Bond etc getting off to a sticky start and coming good.

Micah is 5' 11" yet has played centre half for us in the past and looked good, Kolo is 6' 0" and has been a force for Arsenal in the past and has been decent for us as well before his ban and only just recently since coming back... The difference of course being that Micah has the power and the spring in his heels to compensate for that lack of inches. As for Vidic, he is over an inch taller than Savic (so not 'around the same height' at all), plus he has the physique to stand his ground and maximise his chances of winning the ball in the air and on the ground. Still if you can remember Savic winning a header against either Carroll or Helgusson, I'll stand to be corrected. Until then, not tall enough, not strong enough, not quick enough, not good enough, and if you think playing him at centre half in any of our remaining games is a good idea then you're clearly as mad as a march hare.[/quote]
The guy is 20 and will bulk out in time - look at how Micah and Nedum have done so over the years.
As to the point about height, by your reckoning, we should be in for Zigic and Crouch to play in central defence and players such as Cannovaro and Baresi would never make it.
As has been pointed out, Savic needs someone to lead him through games at the moment and his two shakiest games have been when VK hasn't been playing. Hopefully a run of 4 games will get him match fit and build his confidence up. He has promise, but is raw. Get behind him!
