Let's see how smart Blues are UPDATED.

Re: Let's see how smart Blues are!

The above is correct, but the OP said they are both European events.

FP War resulted in Bismark unifying Germany, right?

1861 - unification of Italy, perhaps, as has been said?

1989 Tiannanmen Square?

Alright, without cheating (seriously, don't open another window and type in Wikipedia or Google, otherwise the thread will be useless).....what happened on these dates in history........just a few significant dates from the past thousand years of recorded human history, and I am doing this largely for the younger Blues. Like I said already this could get ruined almost immediately, but I thought I would give it ago. LOOK AT THE OP ONLY, then reply, as if you scroll down you will undoubtedly see the answers (hopefully) and thus end the thread.

1066 Battle of Hastings

1215Magna Carta

1861

1871

1914WW1 Begins

1939WW2 Begins

1989Collapse of the Berlin Wall??

I'm 17 so some of these are hard because I dropped History in year 9, actually have a good knowledge on a lot of history but hard to go off just dates...

1861 & 1871 make me think its something to do with Queen Victoria...?

-- Thu Dec 08, 2011 12:07 am --

Re: Let's see how smart Blues are!

I think Giving the year only is a little bad I think. There are a couple for 1989 at least.

Re: Let's see how smart Blues are!

Hmph. Like I said, big gaps in our knowledge of European history, especially when not related to the World Wars. Will now have to find out what existed before Italy became one country....

Send us some more, wtfia!
