I had a conversation with a fellow blue in wilmslow a few weeks ago . I've seen him loads of times but never spoken to him . We had a chat and my mum thought he was a older friend of mine . After we shook hands and went our separate way's, my mum said "who was that " I said "Mike summerbee mother and you should know better " a legend and proper gentleman.

I bumped into him in the queue for rice and three in Kabana before the match a couple of years ago.

I went to watch Crewe v Barrow on Friday night and there was a family sat on the row in front of me and a lad that was part of the family had a city bob hat on, so I said to him nice hat mate and nodded my head in appreciation.

I always say nice shirt to City fans if I'm abroad.. usually have a chat about City too..
Definitely seeing more City shirts when away nowadays..even on the markets the sellers have lots more City shirts than other English clubs albeit most are snides.

I’m a miserable prick so if I see anyone aged under 20, especially up here, I mutter something under my breath about not knowing what it’s really like.

This applies to my own kids as much as anyone else and then they strap themselves in for a rant like a Vietnam vet where I tell them that they weren’t there, they haven’t seen the things I’ve seen.

It was only last year when I removed Vodafone from my boycott list and bought their broadband. Although it’s a zillion years since they sponsored the rags, I still feel dirty.

I make a point of letting on to anyone I see in City gear. It usually consists of "come on City" and a smile, kids get a thumbs up and a pat of my chest where the badge is. I get some strange reactions as most of those I let on to don't get the come on City thing :-)

I always used to but only now if of my vintage. We’ve got plenty of glory hunters now who’ve got no idea what it means to be a blue I’m sad to say.
