Actually thought Khush and Ait Nouri did look alright
Watch the first goal again, just following Ait-Nouri.

He's automatically drawn towards the ball, with zero chance of affecting it, therefore still moving forward completely oblivious to the guy running into the Grand Canyon-size space behind him.

As a result he's just played himself out of the game.

He did exactly the same thing against Al-Hilal, just after they'd equalised, but got away with it.

Other coaches don't miss these things and will target him.

The prize money for winning last night was likely more than the gate money for the extra match in the play offs will generate.
And players lifting their arms in the air to suggest they want more noise, can fuck right off, especially the ones who’ve not lifted their legs up all night…

After beating Dortmund, Pep commented that City needed NINE more points - so why the hell did he pick such an imbalanced team that would struggle on paper to win? Beat Beyer and then he only needs SIX from THREE games.

Lol really ?

Pre-covid we would do cl matches, tickets from around 28 to 45 quid and a double room at premier inn around 20 quid.
Now premier inn over a 100quid as for tickets I havent a clue I simple can't afford the premier inn prices !

I was moved away from Manchester in 1966, I have a 3 mates all around my age but all have lived in kent for 60 plus years. We have travelled up and down the country for decades following City. The lad who lives opposite Mary D's wont be paying what we pay to attend the Etihad.

We miss the atmosphere of the 'old' days dont enjoying the lack of atmosphere, the half n half, the tourists, can't get seats together.
We have done our fair share of following City over the decades.
But what has the cost of your Premier Inn or a half and half scarf got to do with Pep's team selection? I'm not knocking anyone and admire everyone who makes an effort. The only point I've made was that a number of fans have come on here saying they are fuming with Tuesday night because they've travelled a long distance to come. All I've said is "well done, but it's your choice to support City from a distance so don't moan when you attend and it doesn't go your way."

Nope, not on my part, I was angry last night.

I could make a perfectly good argument for everyone that started last night, my issue with it, was all of them starting at the same time, it was ridiculous, it was arrogant, it was stupid. Had I known he was going to do that, I genuinely wouldn't have bothered, but I went, because to me it was a big game in the context of this years competition, and I'm still angry he basically threw the game.

I currently live several hours away from the Etihad, and haven't lived in or near Manchester since 1981 (hopefully within a few weeks it'll be half an hour away as I've retired and will be moving back). I've followed the club from wherever I've lived in that time, but I can't remember being as pissed off as I was at 75 minutes yesterday (maybe the cup final against wigan), and I've seen some SHITE in that time, but there was no need for that last night, and I'd have been just as pissed off, had I lived in a house behind the south stand.
Exactly the point I was trying to make.

for goodness sake, give it a rest
Eh?!? I've posted my opinion, a number of people have disagreed with me and a few less have agreed with me. The Yank then got personal so I called him out on it. There are many posts on here debating what I've said so whether they agree or disagree, it's started a debate. That's kind of what a forum is for. If you don't like debate on football matters, are you sure this is the right website for you?

Bobb played pretty well? He was awfully bad mate!
Easily our best front player in the first half, created two chances, linking up quite well, yeah often too predictable and we need our wingers to find some numbers but awfully bad is a shit take, so emotional overstatement

We expected the worst after seeing the starting XI, they were somehow even worse than we expected.

Awful result, awful performance, half the squad can't be relied upon.
Any one of that team could have been picked and accepted by the fans, but putting out 10 against a very organised team was a moment of madness. The first goal was scored by their left fullback who raced unmarked towards our penalty area with our midfield strolling back. The second goal also came from the same left side where we were overrun and our short central defender was matched with their tall attacker when the ball was crossed. These two goals have the hallmark of careful planning by the opposition to exploit our weaknesses.

One of the most arrogant displays of football management in the history of the CL. Pep treated Levekusen like a League 2 side in the Carabao cup and got his arse handed to him.
Agreed.
However when playing a team that mainly defends you have to work hard when you lose the ball to stop their breaks. Our midfield and wingers did not work hard enough. They should take note of how Silva performs.

Actually, Jack, the planning didn't need to be particularly careful, did it?

First goal: "wait for Ait-Nouri to go walkabout and then run into the space. You'll be 30 yards clear before he even breaks into a trot"

Second goal: "get in a really dangerous crossing position where the nearest City player is called Savinho".

Sorted.

Poor wasn't it. Have a look at Ake's positioning and traffic cone impression as well for that first goal, awful.
