Leyton Orient (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Only thing that was a worry was the players looked scared / nervous. Timid with how we played. They looked shit scared to make a mistake and few look like there’s doubt within the final third. Scared to play a ball through or take the risky pass.
Been that way since Madrid last season. It's weird. I wish we had a manager who could direct them how to play.

I can't actually stand listening to, or watching him. Those WBAC adverts are just plain embarrassing.
As for co-commentators - it was an American thing to stick an ex-pro in with a commentator, so we sheep-like had to follow it.
Whenever I watch an old clip with just Barry Davies or just John Motson, I long to go back to just one trained voice on the mic
Plus no biased from either of them, just enjoyment when a great goal was scored.

Khusanov gave flashes of his pace which is going to be very useful once he integrates into the team. Marmoush showed some good play and was a real threat. I think he will do well for us.

O'Reilly and McAtee not so good. The former was not in his natural position but almost everything about his game was off. McAtee had a stage to play in a position he likes but did very little. I really want him to succeed but he was almost invisible for most of the match.

Wonder if the defender swap at half time was a pre-planned thing?

The result is the important thing but you just know their goal is going to be replayed constantly for years.

O’Reilly did ok. McAtee very poor. Khrusanov did well and in fairness even Rico had a solid second half.

Blatant red card that. KDB with a leg breaker on their keeper’s shin.

Not pretty, but would have been more comfortable if Gundo and Marmoush do better from 8 yards in the first half. Not how you win, it's just about getting the win in knock out cup competitions. Some Minds clearly on Madrid. Hopefully Nicos injury is just an impact one.
He was sat on the bench watching the game behind Pep so not hospitalized. Fiery Jack in his jockstrap and heel be reet

So many changes to the side it was never going to be a smooth display

But Pep had a week of training with the players, Pep sometimes does the unthinkable and forgets the battle of a cup tie vs a lower league club at their ground, They can and will bite you on the bum if you let them, Haaland not even on the bench is crazy and sort of disrespecting them and the tie.

All I keep hearing was Madrid in midweek ? Bollocks, The Fa Cup is winnable this season unlike the Champions League
What you do is win the tie with the best options you have in the squad, Get game time playing as a group (best 11)

What I don't like is Asking players to cover somebody else roles, We don't have full-backs in the first-team squad But we have EDS and Youth players who play Full-backs not given a chance ?
