My sentiments exactly. I loved it. Twas a great game to watch,Well, great no VAR old school David v Goliath FA cup game, loved it, no pussy football.
I've never been on Orients ground, tho I have walked past it a few years ago,got a long standing Blue mate who lives round the corner from the ground.
This match, for a neutral I suppose ,had everything.
David v goliath,a poor surface,a hint of a giant killing, new players making their debuts / 2nd appearance for us, youth team players thrown in,great opening goal from the home side, bent ref ,shuddering challenges, a feisty home team, their keeper was brilliant,....and despite what many posters saw as a shambles of a performance, from the tv screen ,in a busy pub, I could see real determination and resolve from many of our players, real grit,...I liked that.i really do.
For Jack and KDB to combine ,with such brilliance,to score the winner
Shows to me ,there is true resolution left in the squad.
Let's be honest. We 've all seen City falter at places like Shrewsbury and Halifax, countless others away from home in the cup,but I thought
true grit, and a dash of sublime magical skill to win the game....made it a Belting good cup tie.
I'm actually proud of City today ,mad as that sounds .....but the utter professionalism of the players ,not losing their head at the atrocious refereeing decisions..should not be discounted.
Kdb s burst of energy showed,he really wanted to win today, and that means a lot to me.
I appreciate those actually at the ground may see things differently....
Just an arm chair blues perspective...
And I watched with no sound, so didn't get the awful commentary others did. Phew !
