It's truly astounding how many players we've let leave or got rid off who suddenly appear to be world beaters just because we've lost a few games.

We have made a fortune out of them and brought first team players with the money , that is the main point in have the academy , not to have a team of local lads

That’s not the only point of having an academy. You want to develop players for the first team. A lot of the staff and players wouldn’t be at the club if they thought there was no chance of playing for the first team

We’ve used that money and brought players in who aren’t as good. I’d rather have Palmer over Doku or Nunes and Lavia over Philips.

We have produced players who would improve our first team. They just needed a chance to develop.

He's got 6 so far this season, I'd suspect he'll have 12-15 unless injured this season, will they stay up?

If they do he'll be over 20 next campaign. If not chances are a lower Prem club will snap him up.

I'm not for one moment suggesting he should be a starter for us, certainly not at the moment but, him coming on when we're 2/3 up with 30 mins to go (remember those days ;) ) would give our one proper forward a rest.

I'm really concerned that with all the minutes Erling is playing it's already debatable if he's knackered let alone what he'll be like by February or at the business end of the season.
