Liam Gallagher

Sounds like the Roses demo stuff (Garage Flower etc).
Not really sure what everyone expected- Liam especially has a shtick that he knows will appeal; Squire is a very good guitarist - and this is the result.
Lyrically it’s par for the Oasis course.
With the odd exception, once Morning Glory was released, everything afterwards was 2nd division stuff, the solo gear included.
There’s a reason both Liam and Noel crank out setlists littered with the early stuff.
Very, very few artists have a canon that is continually developing whilst simultaneously being continually brilliant, I.e. from Red to Blue Album à la Beatles.

Fair fucks though to the Liam and Squire. They’re having a go. A mediocre one admittedly.
I was thinking about something similar the other day.
The 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Depeche Mode albums are their best. You can argue which of the 7th and 8th are the best.
Bands would not get the opportunity to evolve or improve any more.

Oh I don't know, Rain was pretty original when it came out. Sounded like nothing before it.

As I said Liam is a clever guy getting well paid for that. Comes over as thick but that's just another part of his cleverness. :)

It sounds like it’s heavily based in generic Indian music to me. Even the vocals have that same monotone delivery heard in that style of music.

I have a Sikh mate and when we’ve visited his olds for a proper curry the music they play in the background sounds very very similar to the track mate.

As he's not universally liked on the forum, if anyone has a pair of spares for his dates at the Co-op please PM me as I would be very interested (minus the Saturday as I believe Mrs Onholiday is already out............

I would love a couple of tickets he’s sold out everywhere else but their must be a few knocking round the forum plenty of Liam knockers about

This is Squires creation somewhere between the first roses album and the second one going back to his innocent song writing time I can tell straight away it’s not Liams style more Roses.
Heard it a few times now and still think it’s okay not over produced like so many other songs
