Lidl / Aldi

Didn't Tesco deceive people by putting horse meat in there beef burgers?
It’s worse than that…..they didn’t know what the meat was. All supermarkets bought ready minced beef from all sorts of suppliers but never tested it. So suppliers put any old junk in it. They do test it now.

Bombay duck has been banned in the U.K. for decades.
No it hasn’t. It was banned for a while by the EU, but India persuaded the commission to lift the ban, subject to certain conditions. You can buy it online from Amazon and several specialists. The fish however is under pressure of falling numbers and may be banned again as a conservation measure.

Love the way they market their stuff to make it almost identical to the original. My mrs went ballistic when I bought back a packet of crumpets....she only has Warbies and these, apparantly as I picked them up, weren't Warbies....granted I didn't have my readers on but they looked like it to me, didn't taste like it though.
Prof. Peppards instead of Dr Peppers was another one that got me, brilliant.
