Lidl

The snails are probably from French food week which is good because that means they will also have flammkuchen which my kids love so will have to pop in. In germany when lidl had English week. They had adverts for fish fingers, short bread, tea and jam with a picture of some bloke in a bowler hat, holding a tea cup.

Within a mile of me I've got Lidl, Aldi,Tesco express, M&S express, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and a beach.
Manna from heaven.

They were 99p for 12 absolute bargain, the venison was very good, got chicken Balti and rice ready meals for £1.19 not huge but as good as anywhere and for £2.38 you can have a feast, I can't make it for less

Anyone else noticed they seem to have gone upmarket a bit with some of their produce, gourmet pie for instance are very good, bought some snails in garlic butter the other day along with some nice looking venison, made the better half a venison casserole for tonight, also doing some nice desserts.

This sounds very much like a Didsbury dinner party. Anyway, for the rest of us, snails in garlic butter? Dirty foreign much. What's up with a chip butty?
