Lineker leaving MOTD

Lineker has been really good in fairness. End of an era.

Please please please do not have a perminant female presenter for mens football! Fuck no.
I do not need it rammed down my throat.

Nor should they include women's football highlights within the show outside of maybe a 'segment'.

An awful lot of people don’t agree with you though. That’s why it’s one of the most watched programmes on BBC1.

It’s still a very popular show in its current format, despite all the competition.

People will watch it regardless of the smug twat who currently hosts it. It's just a thing growing up in this country, you watch MOTD. Once the smug **** leaves it will still be watched in big numbers.

It had its highest ratings ever when they showed it with no pundits, the show is fine just saying the pundits arent vital to it

I think that was just curiosity value though. I personal don’t think it would keep up enough viewers to justify its existence, if that became the norm.

They are going to make it into a program that shows both male and female matches and are going to have a loose women like panel who gibber about anything but football.

I can see the BBC murdering this program like they did to Dr Who.
