Barcelona have CONFIRMED Messi's contract does have a 'leave for free' clause, but Barcelona state the clause expired at the end of May.

Messi believes the end of May date is automatically extended due to the contract 'adjustments' made due to Covid.

I’m calling bullshit that Messi wants Barca to get a big lump of cash.
Why would he be so insistent on activating the clause if that was the case?
If he signs for free that’s more money in his pocket and his dads.
Add to that the way Barca have treated him, over the clause, the false promises made to him, the supposed hate campaign against him and the way they’ve treated his good friend Suarez.
Sure there’s loads more we don’t know about.
He’s obviously pissed off with Barca or he wouldn’t be wanting to leave.
Hopefully we can get him on a free and then all we’re giving Barca is the middle finger.
Money saved will mean a better deal for Messi.

I think we need to be careful here. Messi would feel better and the Barca fans less upset with him if we don’t take the p!ss. Clearly the board are trying to turf him out with some sort of compensation. The rules of Barca presidency state that if you leave the club with a financial loss you have to cover it out of your own pocket. Elections are due soon so they have to ensure they doesn’t happen.

I moved to Porto on loan on FIFA, kept my #10 shirt so there was just two of us on the pitch wearing #10. It's a licensed game, so assume precedent has been set and another case for CAS if they say we can't.
