I read somewhere he's played more minutes this season than the past two seasons, he's definitely not slowing down. As I've alluded to before he could play until he is 40 as his game isn't about box to box or up and down the flanks, half the time he walks and half the time he stands still.
He's a fit 33 and only just turned 33 too.

Exactly. And for people concerned he won't be peak Messi .....no he won't be absolute peak Messi but this isn't Rodney fucking Marsh we're talking about.
It's arguably the greatest player the game has ever seen. How did he reach such incredible heights? Sure he has supreme natural ability but also it's through incredible determination and devotion to his craft. To even imagine he's coming to City to ease off and have a bit of a holiday with his best mate is totally underestimating the pride he takes in what he does. He's just turned 33, not 43. If anything coming to City should give him a new lease of life and he can play with a big weight off his shoulders from carrying that club. To suggest the premier league will be too much for him is laughable.

Injuries are my only concern for him, anything else no way.

If people try and kick Messi and man mark him to do a job - KDB is meanwhile planting one on Aguero’s right foot into the back of the net.
You are correct, they will have to at least double up on the maestro, leaving space for others to exploit. Even if they do double up, there is no one better than him to get clean away from such tight marking. Bring it on.

Yes he's old. Yes the wages would be astronomical. Yes he may start to decline very soon. Yes he might mean less minutes for Mahrez, Bernardo or even Agüero. These are all valid points.

But lads. It's Leo fucking Messi.

That's all the justification we need.
Yep, I honestly don’t care if it transpires he can’t even run or kick a ball anymore. Just to see him in City blue. Wow.

If he does sign for City I can't wait for the media reaction. I reckon it'll be on the lines of;

Obscene wages as to secure mercenary signing.
Why CR7 is better than Messi.
United refused to budge on Messi wage demands ( they didn't want him anyway )
If pep doesn't win the Champions League this season, his whole career is tarnished.
How does the Messi signing affect City and FFP.

It'll be hilariously negative.
