am i the only one who doesnt want Messi? Yes hes an incredible player, but the entire team at Barca is built around him, and we'd have to do the same - at the moment we have 3 top strikers in the goals and all feeling like a significant part of the set up which has helped with the oveall harmony in the squad - bringing in Messi would destroy that and you could guarantee the number of goals scored by yaya, aguero, negredo and dzecko would all plummet....personally the way things are and hte balance and spirit in the team right now are as good as I've ever seen and they dont need to bring in players who would rock the boat.

Rossell resigning kills most of my hope for messi. Wasn't he one of the main he reasons he 'might have been thinking about' leaving. "Cared too much about business and not enoguth about the sport." First thing this new guy does is offer Messi a new contract bc "the best football player in the world deserves to be paid the best." I'm with you on this. No way would I want a player that's best mates with our top goalscorer and right back that would pretty much mean the pair would be guaranteed to stay!!!

It was fairly obvious to me that Messi's weight of importance to that club would mean that he would last longer at the club than anyone standing in his way. Rosell's resignation (or rather, it's cause) was a huge shock/scandal, but at the end of the day it was what was going to happen to someone who tried to belittle the ultimate one-club-man.
