The stats don't lie, so Pep is being foolish by not trusting the stats like you?

What about the possibility that stats are only part of the story and Pep knows better than you and the other doubters on here?
At the outset everyone wanted to buy Messi. 'He's he greatest', now when it comes down to it, there's doubt. Or maybe the doubt reflects talk of a £60m buy-out?

If we do want to settle with them the only players that I can see moving are Garcia, Angelino and Mahrez. Ideal scenario would be €50m plus Garcia and Angelino.

We are talking about Gundogan mate.

Regarding Messi, what he would contribute off the pitch means that he would probably be worth a fee in the region of 100m. And I trust Pep to find a system that makes the most out of Messis's qualities without undermining our pressing game.

I wish people didn't insult Gundogan by hoping he would move to Barca. Is it really that difficult to comprehend that Gundogan plays because the best manager in the world decides so? Without Pep the chance to sign Messi this window would be dead in the water. Yet people still pretend they know better than Pep whether Gundogan is good enough.

It isn't difficult to comprehend that he plays because Pep decides so, it's just difficult to comprehend why, but all the greatest people in the World have flaws and unfortunately imo Gundogan is Peps blindspot. Doesn't mean I know better than Pep, it means I have eyes and can see a player that looks for an easy pass and shits out of tackles over and over again, if I had done that as a 12yr old I would have got subbed off.

Just further to that laughable MD article for anyone not familiar with them. They are Barca's mouthpiece, they have 0 connections with us. Even Barca fans are laughing it off as desperation from Bartomeu and give it zero credibility/consideration on their forums. They are no more than a propaganda machine for Barca, think like the BBC for Utd but even less subtlety (if thats possible). You will not see balanced fair or even honest reporting from them unless it benefits Barca.

I dare say we’ll have too many options for the front 3 -

Aguero
Sterling
Bernardo
Mahrez
Jesus
Foden
Torres
Messi (Potentially)

Bernardo, Foden and Messi (potentially) can also play alongside De Bruyne, and looking at it, Foden/Bernardo might get more game time there this season compared to in the front 3.

Attacking midfield -

De Bruyne
Foden
Bernardo
Gundogan
Messi (potentially)

Yaa, was citing as a worse case.

Come to think of it, obviously the player should also want to move clubs.

Garcia obviously wants to go. Jesus doesn't strike as one who is pushing for a move. He has been patient and despite some limitations, actually suits Pep's system. I doubt its true. Barca is a mess right now not exactly attractive destination.

Was only concerned, coz cheeseman was right about the CAS verdict

I think he's just proving it was a guess.
