Eric Garcia: "I'm here [Spain national team] because of #ManCity and the confidence they gave me. It has been a very good year although it did not end in the #UCL as we expected."

Eric Garcia: "Barça? I told #ManCity that I was not renewing, but I still have one season left with them and I hope to return." [via

Too bad that you’ll be used in the Messi deal. Have fun with Bartomeu and Braithwaite

I wonder how Bayern feel knowing that it's their complete demolition of Barca that has acted as the catalyst in potentially bringing the world's greatest player to our doorstep.

The great thing about the equity idea is that it ties him to the club and/or CFG long term.

Beckham left MLS in 2012, but he's been an ambassador and spokesman for MLS for the past 8 years because it's growth was good for him.

Someone compared Messi to Michael Jordan and the Bulls, and I think that's a good comparison, Messi is going to be making people money for decades after he's retired. If you can tie City to that not just for 3 seasons as a player, but for a further 5 or 10 as some sort of City ambassador or even just as a very powerful ally, that'll be hugely profitable.

It's Messi.
It is Messi. Don't get me wrong, still can't believe it, but he is 33 and would probably only be here for 2/3 years. Giving a guy who has only been here for 3 year a slice of the pie seems excessive. If I was KDB, that would be the first thing I'd say at the next contract negotiations. I am a natural pessimist though, so am a always going to look through sceptical glasses before anything else
