Message for Riley347. The apostrophe key seems to have been switched with the comma key on your computer keyboard. You need to get it sorted.

lmao!!!!!!!

Riley of course nobody can be 100%, even if they were ITK they couldn't be unless they were Messi himself.

The point is that Messi is currently playing for the best team in the world. They won the treble last season... liga, copa and champions.

Messi also came through Barca's academy... barca even paid for his growth hormone treatment when he was a child because he had a problem with his pituitary. He is by all accounts a very loyal chap and feels he owes barca a lot. He is also a very wealthy man already which makes the lure of more money less of a pull - there is only so much a man can spend after all.

So for all intents and purposes he is as close to 100% staying at barca as can be.

Manchester City have denied making an attempt to sign Barcelona's Argentina star Lionel Messi.

Reports in Spain today claimed City had offered an extraordinary £132 million deal to buy out the remainder of the 21-year-old's contract with Barça, and then pay him just under £9m a year to play at Eastlands.

But, a day after the City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak insisted the club would not overreach in the transfer market this summer, the club issued a statement denying any such approach had been made.

"Manchester City Football Club note with interest the reports circulating in the Spanish media that the club has made an offer to the Barcelona player Lionel Messi and that he has turned down the chance to join the club," the statement said.

"While acknowledging that Lionel Messi is a world-class player of the highest calibre, Manchester City would like to make it clear that the club has at no time made an approach to Mr Messi or his representatives."

Earlier this month, the City manager Mark Hughes hit out at the number of reports linking the club with players around the world since the Abu Dhabi United Group completed their takeover of the club last summer.
