With messi not towing the party line and saying he stayed for footballing reasons he’s already fucked next season for Barca. This season now becomes a circus of messi being held against his will and this will go on and on in the media. Barca will have a spotlight on them with every bad game blown out of proportion because they forced their talisman to stay. Unless we now pay some sort of fee, none of this makes sense from a Barca perspectiveBarcelona are the biggest losers in all this. There’s zero delight in this from Messi. He’s not talked about regret, extending his contract or saying he’ll be there for life. He has openly said he has wanted out all year, they’re keeping him against his will and that he’ll be gone he despises the board and he’ll gone as soon as he’s allowed.
I honestly would be surprised if he’s ‘injured’ for 6 months.

Don't worry big fella, the real signings will come next week, the players who will win us back that title.Even with my hugely pessimistic outlook I have been drawn into this one since the start and genuinely believed it would happen. Looks like I will have to revert to type ;)

In fairness Maradona hasn't had a good game for them in 20 years either.....Very underwhelming to the point I can't remember one game he's been involved in with his country, compare that with Maradona.
