I still struggle to believe that.
It has to come from either messi or bartomeu. And both seem accepting of the situation and that he stays no matter what.
The only way it happens is messi once again instigating a move, either by leaking that he will sign a pre contract in january, or some other suggestion of leaving. Otherwise, bartomeu has zero need to offer him any way out.
The interview he gave killed any momentum, and drew a line in it. Till someone dares cross it again, there really is nothing to see there.
