I think we'll get Messi
Messi will never come to City
We can't afford him with FFP
New sponsorship deals will cover it and we can pay it over several years
But he's sponsored by Adidas
But Barca are with Nike now
So why would Nike help us buy him?
They will have a huge boost in shirt sales
But it's not just about shirt sales
We're very much interested in signing Messi
We've been linked again with Messi
Why would he want to come to City?
His pals Serg and Zaba are here
...and repeat

There I just saved us from 500 extra pages until the transfer window opens.

£164 million is a bargain. i hope the rumours are true.

Imagine a forward line of Silva, Aguero, Negredo and Messi ..... Make it happen Sheikh Mansour !

It's the story that just won't go away isn't it. Personally I think it's time he had a change of scenery ;)

It'll be decided one way or the other soon enough. Messi's dad has been in Barca for about a week now ostensibly to tie up this new contract. All the expectations are that he will renew this week or next week at the latest.

If he doesn't ... well, then we'll see.

I know he loves them so it's impossible to see him moving but with the way things are there and the fact they need money to replace a lot of playing staff makes you wonder doesn't it ? Plus we have much to offer him. His friends are here, we have a very competitive league, good squad etc also I think he needs a new challenge because he's looked a little off his usual standard.

It would be easy to just stay there and see out his days but then again he could ask himself if he has the stones to try something new and see if he's as good in a league that's very different to the one he's currently playing in
