Think we will know more after this meeting. I presume a discussion will be had regarding Messi between them all.

If koeman says he’s happy to let him go and the candidates all decide it’s better to get the money in so they can start with some cash to spend it might smooth over a January move.

Might work in our favour that 15 or so people are going to be involved you’d think common sense would prevail and they would sanction a move before they end up in charge and be the person that couldn’t convince Messi to stay and lost him on a free.

Unlikely scenario, this sort of meeting is a consequence of the vote of no confidence against Bartomeu forcing a management council to take over ahead of elections. The aim of the meeting will be to explain to candidates the situation of the club, particularly to share the economic situation. If the elections are not called forward (Which should be the priority according to club stautes) it will be an opportunity to listen what the proposals or intentions are of each candidate at a sporting level for the winter market. These meetings will be served to prepare the way for whoever is elected.

In this sense, Tusquets et al will not close any operation (transfer), rather the new elected board will give the final approval on any player movements.

Although he is currently still regarded as the world's best player there is no guarantee a 34 year old will be successful in the world's toughest and most physical football league. And even if he is for how long, 1 or 2 seasons? I've seen Messi play at his peak twice for Barca. I don't want to watch him well past his best like Yaya became.
David Silva was not an automatic pick for us last year. He's currently one of the best players in La Liga.
OK Messi is Messi, but still a 34 year old coming to the EPL. No guarantees.

Youv just copied that word for word from Hangrid.

But he also says this. I refuse to believe that all the important people get in a room and won’t discuss how to move forward with the Messi situation.

If ever the financial benefits side of this deal was in doubt, add to that a move to NYC CFG would probably be on the cards after a cycle here.

Because you failed to provide the context of what the meeting was even for. Even Hagrid, who is not a source, points to the TV3 article that documented it. There was nothing linking it to the situation of Messi, you're manufacturing a story

On a separate point, the club & players agreed to a salary reduction as has been in talks for many weeks now

I gave an opinion based on the fact that the sitting president, manager and candidates would all be getting together. It’s also been reported that they will discuss the winter window.
I merely said I think we will know more about Barca’s plans for Messi after this meeting has taken place.
Which I think is a fairly reasonable assumption.

What you did was quote someone else and pretended it was you saying it. Acting like you have a greater knowledge on a subject that you actually have no greater information on than the rest of us. It’s currently a situation that’s based on speculation, I speculated based on information at hand.

@MCFC-Carl-88 You cherry picked Hagrid's thread on the meeting today to suit your narrative instead of actually reading it through, I simply provided the missing context that negated your theory

The Messi situation is no less clear unless elections are moved up to 3rd week of December else this will sit until summer

I did not quote, I summarized as it was not verbatim, you're free to prove me wrong - meanwhile you quoted, out of context

My knowledge on the subject, certainly compared to you, is indeed greater and not because I have ever claimed to have insider info but experience reading from reliable sources close to the club coupled with actually following the club for 20 years
