Watching that as well makes me think of how much space he will create for other players. Whenever he goes near the ball he takes 3 or 4 players out of position as they are so scared of him. If he did that for us, imagine the space for KDB, Sterling, Jesus etc, it would just be frightening.

There is usually no space in midfield which means the only extra man would be in wide spaces which can also be defended easier. Why is he not able to give the ball to griezmann or coutinho when he is marked by the 3 or 4 players? Or are they worse than all our players?

I obviously like and still want messi but you are acting like he would come and we would be able to beat teams that park the bus easily. Barca are also struggling to beat park the bus teams.

Pep's great Barcelona side struggled against parked buses. There's no set of players we can sign that'll magically make us better against parked buses.

Besides, City don't make signings based on how well they'd do specifically against parked buses. We generally beat those teams anyway, barring occasional exceptions.

Well to be fair we beat most teams who park the bus already, so having the quality that Messi still has can only be a good thing. As for do we have better players than Barca, then undoubtedly I’d say yes.

We still create chances against loaded defences. Imagine some of those falling to Messi as opposed to Sterling.
