If he’s said anything of relevance, a leak should be eminent

Speculation already building but unlikely there will be a leak before airing

Évole is a leading journalist and never covers conducts football interviews rather those like the Pope and historical figures. It can only mean something significant since Leo rarely does interviews

Anyone else hoping that on Jan 1st we put a pre-contract agreement in front of him if he signs it great, if not we know there will be nothing to see here and move onto something more tangible?

Was thinking this. Makes sense if he does want to come and might force Barca to release earlier if they realise they’re going to lose him for nothing.

If, and it is an IF, he is doung an interview and releasing the contents to the public, for me it can only be a goodbye message.

He wouldn't do an interview at the end of the calendar year in the middle of the season, to say he will stay to the end of the season and see what happens. that is the default. And i doubt it would be to announce an extension, without knowing who has been elected to run the show. Besides if he does extend, i'd imagine the new president would want to control how that is announced and take some credit.

Timing such as this, if it is real, can for me only mean either, i'll see the season out but im off in the summer (could get unsustainable in the dressing room and pitch). Or, a 'please let me go in January'. i.e i wanted to leave in the summer, bartomeu said not withiut court, i respected the club, he is now gone, i ask the next president to respect my contract. or something like that.

I agree with whoever said though, if an interview Has taken place, i would expect leaks filtering through. unless the messi camp have learned from the last shitshow.

There is this however that leaves me less certain as Laporta has long been the x-factor:

When he wanted to leave I counted on @EncuentroFutbol on the exact phrase Leo said to Koeman. Today, the same sources tell me that there will be no bomb and that he will remain. Have to wait. I always trust my sources. And the man is Laporta.

Don’t be so naive about politics
