I'm in my 50's and Maradona did it all, Clubs and Country, where as Messi great player that he is (and would love to see him at City by the way) only did it for Barca, he needs to prove himself in what is the best League in the world before it's to late...
For the majority of Messi's career, La Liga has shit all over the premier League. I would imagine the stats are close to 3/4 times as many European trophy wins for Spain vs England.
Can't believe people have actually bought into Sky's bullshit about the Premier League being the best. It only has been the last 2/3 years.
We have seen Messi destroy us many times in Europe as he has done to United and Arsenal yet somehow if he hasnt scored against Burnley and Palace he hasn't proven himself.

because those 3 teams have been so good...even Sevilla shit all over the Rags when it came to the crunch last season. Excitement, most watched aren't proofs of quality.Yet by all accounts the PL is the most exciting league in the World. And IS the most watched league in the World. It s***'s all over La Liga for TV audiences. It is the richest league in the World by a mile. It has the best Managers in the World, Pep, Klopp, Jose. La Liga is a two team league, with Atletico breaking the Madrid and Barcelona title monopoly every now and again. There will be no City or Leicester story in La Liga. Just Real Madrid, Batcelona, and maybe Atletico.
Where did he mention laporta? He said he doesn't want to associate himself with any president80/20 he leaves for City as I have mentioned weeks earlier, the x-factor being Laporta which even Messi alluded to in the interview. Still see it as a mission impossible as the player explained himself the challenges to meet his expectations to be competitive to win every title, every season. But if anyone can convince, it'd be Joan Laporta
We'll see but the interview overall underscored just how much he loves the club/city and this was not really a surprise. I trust he will take the best decision for himself where he can express his game the best
