I think he was coming before Bartomeu stopped him. A lot has happened since then though.

Its funny…I would be surprised if Messi didn’t re-sign with Barca but I can’t for the life of me see how the financials would work and all logic screams Barca cannot afford him.

Really confusing…could Messi go down with the ship singing Barca Barca Baaaarca!?

IF we do actually sign Messi, I hope it doesn’t mean we think that‘ll be enough and we won’t try and get Kane, Grealish or Haaland as well. We still need an out and out striker and a younger midfielder with some energy. Messi is a fairly short term fix given his age.

I think Messi would take up all our budget mate, possibly one big name leaving then that would probably be it. Still 30/70 he signs for us though
 
We put no obstacles in their way for Sergio and they are doing the same for us to get Messi.
