Still nobody explained the huge change in Messi of wanting to leave last year into being very sad of not being able to renew. He did mention the sporting project last year as one major reason, well this Barca project is not closer to any better season than what they had last time which is about top4 in La Liga and last 16 or last 8 failure in CL.
Garcia, Aguero, Depay were not going to change that, this sporting project is not better even if Messi renews. without him it takes another big hit for sure.

I think he wanted to leave and all this months of Laporta lies of everything is going great was a smokescreen because if you look at the financial gap of where they needed to be and where they are to get Messi renew and allow new players to register is huge, like he didnt miss out on 1 million euros he missed out by more than 100m euros it wasnt close at all.

still PSG is a big winner here, but their deal must have been on the table and under heavy discussion for months instead of the fairytale that all this was fully done between last Thursday and today.
Do you think Messi's team and his father looked at PSG offer first time few days ago and managed to get it done?

Well there you go, PSG had a bad season so are signing big stars. Whilst that is a clear example of 'more of the same', it's clear that Messi is a player above other stars.

Historically tho, this approach failed to work for Real in a sporting sense, but solidified them the as commercial juggernaut. Sporting success was sparse, until they got Ronaldo in his prime, started signing the defenders and midfielders they needed to make it work (who had hitherto been regarded as disposable in pursuit of star forwards) - and of course, Zidane actually was a huge huge star for club and country and the right man to make it work.

Two questions remain for me: what happens if PSG loose Mbappe as a result of this? Surely it'd be the equivalent of Real losing Ronaldo in his prime.

And how does this help PSG overcome their disciplinary problems? Sorting out a troublesome classroom is not usually achieved by bringing in the best friend of the noisy boys to sit with them.

Personally I think Messi's actions and utterances over the last year have been thrown together in a haphazard manner, and I don't blame either Laporta or City's heirachy for letting him walk to Qatar. Qatar are holding such an exotic material. If it doesn't work... then a complete rethink will likely have to take place, if they are to avoid becoming a failed Real Madrid.

It was most probably the same offer that was submitted last year, along with ours. They have had plenty of time to read it, no doubt!!

He’ll have a rant at some point and it’ll be about PSG and us, guaranteed.

Can someone please explain FFP!
MCFC wages = 138 mil per year
PSG = 202 mil (not including Messi). Average attendances MCFC 54,000 PSG 47,000. Ticket prices similar. So this means sponsorship comes into play. €637 mil on 2 deals?? Why was this never investigated! UEFA as corrupt as ever. We should have all stuck by our guns & continued with the super league. Stuck a big 2 fingerat up at UEFA & Qatar.

We’re hated, they’re not.
We’re ruining football, they’re not.
We’re corrupt, they’re not.
We’re stopping cartel teams winning trophies, they’re not.
We not only upset the apple cart, we tipped it over and then pissed on the apples.
