Good move by the club letting this out of the bag coming just two days after Barca used a quote from Messi wanting Sergio to join him in Spain. It does sound plausible and hopefully we can convince Messi that City is the club to play for . We have learned a lot when City tried to sign Kaka in January and any murmurings of the move will be done near the end of the season imo.

Get real . I have had a few drinks tonight and even now I don't believe it will happen . When I was on holiday in June someone said we were going to sign a superstar like Ronaldo or Messi . I think some City supporters need to stop dreaming .

Not as delusional as it sounds and like I said in this thread I am cautiously optimistic if we do put in a bid for him. We tried to sign both Ronaldinho and Kaka in the first couple of seasons into our takeover and even though we didn't land the players it did signal our intent. We have the resources to land any big deal if necessary though there are other clubs who could challenge us. Sheikh Mansour doesn't fuck about as we have found out since the takeover.
